The curated exhibition program consisting of visual art, audiovisual installation art (digital, audio-visual elements and spatial-material/analogue elements), and installations/objects, with a focus on contemporary abstract tendencies, displays regional, national as well as international positions in several thematically bundled exhibition cycles. The Kunstraum Florenz offers about 350 m2 space for display. As an intermezzo between exhibitions, the Kunstraum Florenz houses a program of fringe events (discussions and a series of Contemporary Music). During the events as well as the exhibitions, the Café/Bar Florenz provides the visitors with drinks.
Kunstraum Florenz memo
The exhibition profile of the Kunstraum is defined by its intermedia focus on contemporary, abstract tendencies, of mainly regional, but also national and international positions. Completely new works of art that have never been exhibited before are in the foreground. The works shown will contain analogue and/or digital, material and/or immaterial elements, which will cover up the current abstract tendencies extensively. The exhibition cycles will show two – and three-dimensional works (visual arts, audio-visual installation art, installations/objects). Each exhibition cycle will contain three to four regional positions and one international one.
The other formats, containing the series of Neue Musik, screenings and panel discussions, with related events between and during exhibitions, mirror and underline the curatorial profile.
